Editorial Policy
The standard this site holds itself to is checkability. Every claim here should be something a reader can verify without trusting us — which means publishing the formula, not just the figure.
How the calculators are verified
Before a tool is published, and after any change to one:
- The formula is tested against known values. The provably fair verifier is checked against published SHA-256 and HMAC-SHA256 test vectors, and its output distribution is confirmed uniform over a large sample.
- Worked examples are generated from the code. Where a page states a number in prose — a break-even multiplier, an expected loss, an RTP — that figure comes from the same arithmetic the calculator runs. Prose and code cannot disagree.
- Edge cases are checked. Invalid input, zero values, and impossible inputs should produce a clear message, not a wrong answer presented confidently.
What counts as a source
The maths here is derived, not cited: expected value, house edge and HMAC verification are standard and can be checked directly rather than taken on authority. Where a page gives a range rather than a derivation — for instance that published case odds commonly work out to 85–95% RTP — it is labelled as a general observation and marked illustrative, not presented as a measurement of any named operator.
We do not restate figures found on other affiliate sites. If a number cannot be derived or clearly labelled as illustrative, it does not go on the page.
What we decline to publish
- Operator rankings and "best of" lists. We cannot audit an operator's solvency, licensing, or payout behaviour, so we do not imply otherwise.
- Specific bonus terms. They change without notice, and a stale figure presented as current is worse than no figure. Terms belong on the operator's own site.
- Claims of personal testing we have not done. No invented withdrawal times, no fabricated account histories.
Updates and corrections
If a formula here is wrong, a worked example does not add up, or a tool returns something it should not, that is a bug and it gets fixed rather than quietly left. Where a correction changes a figure a reader might have acted on, the change is noted on the page rather than made silently.
Review dates move only when a page is actually revised. There is no scheduled bulk refresh, because a date that moves without the content moving is not information.
Affiliate relationships
The calculators and guides carry no affiliate links. Where this site refers promo-code queries to HowCents, that site earns commission on signups. No affiliate relationship influences what the tools on this site report — the arithmetic is the arithmetic, and it is unflattering to the category more often than not.
Reader responsibility
Everything here is educational. Expected value describes long-run averages, not individual sessions, and most people lose money gambling. Verify terms, eligibility, and legality for your own region before acting on anything. WagerCodes does not operate any gambling platform.
